Mormon Wedding Photographer, UK

Meet the Photographer
Hey, my name is SHABAAN
I’m a wedding photographer based in the Midlands, and I’ve photographed LDS temple weddings in the UK. If you’re looking for a Mormon wedding photographer who already understands how your day works, you’re in the right place.
I know that photography isn’t allowed inside the temple during the sealing. I know the day is built around that sacred ceremony and everything else flows from it. I know the temple exit is one of the most important moments to capture — the doors opening, the couple emerging, the family waiting. I know the reception is often family-focused, warm, and without alcohol. None of this is new to me and none of it needs explaining.
I’m not a member of the Church myself, but I approach every wedding with respect for the couple’s faith and traditions. My job is to document your day honestly, not to direct it. The couple I photographed at the London Temple trusted me with their wedding and they were beyond happy with the results. I’d love the chance to do the same for you.
What I Understand About LDS Weddings
The Temple Sealing Is Private
I know I can’t photograph inside the temple. I don’t ask to, and I don’t need to. What I can capture is everything around it - the temple grounds, the family gathering outside while the sealing takes place, and the moment the doors open and you walk out as a married couple. That exit shot, with your family and friends waiting, is one of the most emotional moments I’ve ever photographed.
The Temple Grounds Are Beautiful
The London Temple grounds are stunning and I’ve already photographed there. I know the best angles, where the light falls at different times of day, and which spots give you the cleanest backgrounds. If your wedding is at a different UK temple or a chapel, I’m happy to visit beforehand to plan the photography.
The Day Has a Different Rhythm
LDS weddings don’t follow the typical UK wedding timeline. The sealing is intimate and often early. The celebration afterwards is family-centred, joyful, and usually without alcohol. The energy is different from a late-night party wedding as it’s warm, personal, and focused on the people. I love photographing that. Some of my favourite images from weddings are the quiet family moments, the children, the grandparents, the genuine connection between people who are there because they care.
Modesty Matters
I understand that modesty is important in LDS culture and I photograph accordingly. I’m not going to suggest poses or angles that make you uncomfortable. Your portraits will be natural, respectful, and beautiful. You’ll look like yourselves, not like you’ve been posed for a magazine.
Group Shots With Large Families.
LDS families tend to be large, close, and enthusiastic about photos. I’m experienced with managing big group shots efficiently — getting everyone organised without killing the energy, working through combinations quickly, and making sure nobody’s missed. I’ll have a plan for the groupings before the day so we don’t waste your time.

Testimonial
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“We chose Shabaan as our photographer for our Mormon wedding at the London Temple. He captured everything beautifully — nothing felt posed or awkward, just genuine moments and real emotions. The photos of us, our families, and the temple grounds are stunning. Shabaan was easy to work with, organised, and clearly knows how to handle both big group shots and candid moments. The online gallery arrived quickly and made sharing with family so simple. We are beyond happy and highly recommend for anyone looking for a talented wedding photographer in the UK who understands how to tell the real story of your day.”

What to Expect When You Book
We’ll start with a conversation about your wedding — the temple, the timing, the reception plans, and what matters most to you and your family. I’ll share what I know from photographing at the London Temple and we’ll plan the photography around your day, not the other way around.
Before the wedding, I’ll prepare a shot list based on your family groupings and the key moments you want captured. If I haven’t photographed at your specific temple or chapel before, I’ll visit in advance to understand the grounds and lighting.
On the day, I arrive early to capture the atmosphere before the sealing — the family gathering, the nerves, the anticipation. During the sealing I’ll photograph your guests and the temple grounds. When the doors open, I’m ready. After that, we move through portraits and family groups efficiently so you can get to your reception and enjoy the celebration.
Your gallery is delivered within 6-8 weeks. Sneak peeks within 72 hours.

FAQ

Are you a member of the church
No. I approach every wedding with respect for the couple’s faith and traditions. The LDS couple I photographed at the London Temple trusted me with their day and were beyond happy with the result. My job is to document your wedding honestly and beautifully, and I take that seriously regardless of the faith tradition involved.
Can you photograph inside the temple?
No as photography isn’t permitted inside the temple during the sealing, and I understand and respect that completely. I focus on everything around the sealing: the grounds, the family, the exit, the portraits, and the reception. There’s more than enough to create a beautiful, complete story of your day.
Have you photographed at the London Temple before?
Yes. I’ve photographed a wedding at the London Temple and I’m familiar with the grounds, the lighting, and how the day flows there. If your wedding is at a different UK temple or a local chapel, I’m happy to visit beforehand.
How much do you charge?
Packages start from £1000 for elopements and for weddings. Full pricing is on my pricing page or I can send you details when you get in touch.
Tell me about your plans, the temple, the date, the reception, how many family members need wrangling for group photos. I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right photographer for your day. We also have a guide here to help plan your day.
